Hey what’s good?! I’m Sara, aka, the girl on the radio in the afternoons. I’m so stoked to be a part of the B94.5 crew! I’m kind of new to the State College area, and so far I love it here! The energy in the Happy Valley is amazing! There’s always something to do, whether it’s checking out a football game, hitting up a local bar, or just getting outside and enjoying this beautiful scenery.
Since I’ve moved here, I’ve really gotten into hiking (when the weather is nice, of course!). I love to check out new places, and so far I’ve fallen in love with Mt. Nittany, the Shingletown Gap, and the Black Moshannon State Park. I have two dogs that love to go with me too.
Yeah, I’m one of those people… I love animals! I have two dogs and a cat. Baxter, Ava, and Nemo. Nemo’s really just pretty fat and lazy, but Baxter and Ava go ham up in the mountains.
Besides my pets, my loves are probably radio, food and beer! I’m not a crazy drinker! No seriously, I swear… But I do love tasting great local beers and microbrews. And the Happy Valley has some awesome hangouts and cool breweries!
Let’s talk about my other love, radio. I got into radio when I was an undergraduate in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Oh by the way, yes, I graduated from Indiana Purdue University Fort Wayne, which means I have a Purdue degree. I’m sorry!!! Penn Staters!!! I’m not worthy! Ha!
So, anyway, I was a student for more years than my mom would like to admit, but I have earned both my B.A. and M.A. in Professional Communication Studies. And I’ve been in radio this whole time! I started in Indiana, and now I’m home in the PA! Radio is unbelievable. You get to meet awesome listeners, hometown legends, and musical artists. Plus days are always filled with crazy, spontaneous, fun! Especially when you try to keep up with Sean and the Zoo Crew every day!
